Disabled Facilities Grants are means tested and can be awarded if you meet the eligibility criteria particularly if you are over 18, and have sight or hearing loss, physical or learning disabilities, frailty or an illness which prevents you navigating the stairs safely or easily. Applicants must sign a certificate of ownership or tenancy stating that they intend to occupy the home being adapted for at least five years.
